Clinical Issues Treatment

Most common mental health problems are eligible under Medicare’s Better Access to Mental Health Care initiative. Our practice is committed to providing affordable quality comprehensive mental health services in-clinic in Brisbane and via telehealth across Australia.

Medicare rebates can vary depending upon client circumstances, length of session and the type of service provided by the Psychologist.

See more information about clinical treatment here.

Forensic Issues Treatment

The treatment of criminal behaviour is not typically covered by Mental Health Care Plans (i.e. Medicare funded), unless your presenting problem meets the criteria for a mental health diagnosis.  Please see the link to the Medicare Fact Sheet regarding this.

If your presenting problem does not meet criteria for a MHCP you can still access psychological treatment – you do not need a referral, it just means you will need to fund the fees privately.

Our standard 1-hour forensic treatment consultation fee is $250.

See more information about forensic treatment here.

Standard Medicare rebate for a 1-hour psychology session:

Standard 1-hour clinical treatment consultation fee: $220
Rebate for Clinical Psychologist: $129.55
Rebate for General Psychologist: $88.25
